Jed Woodworth - 20th Century —the subject of the Second Coming largely disappeared. More stress was placed on living righteously and peaceably in the present, and less on future destructions and signs. We don’t explain away natural disasters as God’s wrath. Signs of the times are not taught—leaders don’t talk about a return to Missouri.
